How does it work
Echolyte equipment is used for surface treatment of products as an alternative to sandblasting, chemical or electrochemical processing.
The greatest benefits of Echolyte appear when processing products with complex surface profiles, for which alternative methods are ineffective.
This technology generates electric discharge in a vapor-gas medium between a metal anode (workpiece) and cathode (tank).
High temperature of discharge provokes partial destruction, partial anodic dissolution and partial melting of surface micro-irregularities.
This process is selective: peak elevations are exposed to much higher discharge than smooth areas of the anode surface.

The process allows smoothing of the irregularities and improving the quality of surface processing.
Electric current flows through this system, and the electrolyte boils up, forming a vapor-gas shell (plasma) on the anode surface, where the current density reaches its maximum.
The resulting increase in the electric field strength near the local surface irregularities intensifies the process of material removal from these irregularities.
