The greatest benefits of Echolyte appear when processing products with complex surface profiles, for which alternative methods are ineffective.
Echolyte equipment is used for surface treatment of products as an alternative to sandblasting, chemical or electrochemical processing.
How does in work
By our method, a workpiece is processed by electric discharge in a vapor-gas envelope surrounding the processed item.
The resulting increase in the electric field strength near the local surface irregularities intensifies the process of material removal from these irregularities.
Electric current flows through this system, and the electrolyte boils up, forming a vapor-gas shell (plasma) on the anode surface, where the current density reaches its maximum.
The process allows smoothing the irregularities and improving the quality of surface processing.
This process is selective: peak elevations are exposed to much higher discharge than smooth areas of the anode surface.

High temperature of discharge provokes partial destruction, partial anodic dissolution and partial melting of surface micro-irregularities.
This technology generates electric discharge in a vapor-gas medium between a metal anode (workpiece) and a liquid cathode (electrolyte plunged in tank).

F.A.Q.
What is the capacity of the installation?
The maximum power of the installation does not exceed 150 kW. The power required for processing is determined by the mode, dimensions and material of the product. It is possible to reduce the capacity of the installation for the tasks of the Customer
What are the maximum processing areas?
The maximum machining area is limited by the surface area of the submerged part.
Characteristics of the processed parts:

1. Weight - up to 30 kg

2. Dimensions of the part:

- full immersion 600x300x200 mm.

For the needs of the Customer, the size of the bath can be changed.
How is the removal of gases and vapors from the chamber carried out?
After the product is immersed in the electrolyte bath, the bath is covered with a protective shield to minimize the spread of gases and vapors. Gas removal is carried out through a gas and dust removal system, which is connected to a stationary exhaust system.
How does ultrasound affect processing?
In addition to the traditional cavitation effects, which intensify the treatment processes, ultrasonic action causes a sonocapillary effect, which promotes deeper penetration of the electrolyte and discharge into the internal cavities of the product. The use of ultrasound makes it possible to ensure uniform metal removal on all surfaces, as well as to increase the processing speed (depending on the grade of the material).
Can be is Programmable Blasting? Are only large and shallow holes to be machined internally?
Automated blasting is currently in the pre-release stage. The directional jet as a liquid flow electrode effectively treats internal cavities and channels. The processing diameter depends on the diameter of the nozzle. The minimum nozzle diameter is currently 1 mm. In the test mode, the possibility of processing even deaf channels was confirmed. The processing depth is increased due to the intensification of the capillary effect. Blasting is programmable, the control panel provides the ability to set the desired processing mode (time, current power). Work is underway to set the flow rate of the jet.
What is the difference between Echolyte and classic electrolyte polishing?
The Echolyte installation, like the classic electrolytic polishing, provides local surface polishing while maintaining geometric dimensions. Fundamental differences from traditional EPP technology are high processing speed, environmentally friendly electrolyte, processing of internal channels and surfaces, surface improvement up to 5 classes, process automation.
What is the difference between Echolyte and a vibratory sounder?
The main differences between plasma electrolytic polishing and vibratory grinder are as follows:

1) The working substance is an electrolyte liquid, therefore, the method allows you to polish the internal channels and non-standard parts;

2) Also, this is not a mechanical method of polishing, so there is no residual stress after processing;

3) Last but not least, the electrolyte is environmentally friendly and can be disposed of without special measures.
Can Echolyte polish tool steel, stainless steel and silver parts?
A prerequisite for processing a part is the conductivity of the material. This Echolyte technology is used for machining tool steel and stainless steel. Silver parts are currently being processed in test mode.
Do you manufacture Echolyte units yourself or do you only sell?
We manufacture and sell Echolyte plants and provide processing services.
Can you test our parts with Echolyte to see if they meet our needs?
We are ready to carry out a test polishing within the framework of possible cooperation. Prerequisites - Send at least 3 samples with exact material class (e.g. 316 SST or material composition). This information is essential for the correct selection of the operating mode.
